Here is a page with complete info on plum growing from Michigan State University. There are methods for controlling all plum insects and diseases.

http://web1.msue.msu.../fruit/plum.htm

If you want the latest reports sent directly to your email free of charge you can sign up to receive alerts on a weekly basis during the growing season, listing that week's insect and disease development by areas in Michigan.

There are different issues for different crops including Fruit, Landscape, Vegetable, Field Crops, or Greenhouse alerts
