Chihuly at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park: A New Eden
April 30 – September 30, 2010
Special Monday hours during the exhibition, 9 am–9 pm (Excluding Monday, July 26 and Monday, August 9)

Dale Chihuly, the most sought-after glass artist in the world, returns for a second exhibition this spring and summer to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Meijer Gardens. His works will be displayed at 15 sites, from the English Perennial Garden at the entryway to the Frey Boardwalk in the wetlands. Included are chandeliers, glass towers up to 30 feet high, floating spheres, reeds rising from the earth, the sun, the moon, and a rowboat full of glass. The exhibition officially opens to the public on April 30 and runs through September 30.

Wild Ones, North Oakland Chapter Phragmites Workshop

On August 28, 2010 10:00am – 12:00pm the Wild Ones, North Oakland Chapter
and North Oakland Land Conservancy will host a free ‘Phragmites
Demonstration Workshop’ at Deer Lake Beach, Clarkston, MI.
Participants will learn how to properly control small infestations of
Phragmites on your property. Invasive species control starter kits will be
available for all attendees ($9 donation requested).
All participants should: wear work gloves and boots; and bring clippers to
cut the Phragmites stems.

Wild Ones, is a national non-profit environmental education, native plant
and native landscapes advocacy organization.
This presentation is free; however registration is recommended. To
